In 2000, our family enjoyed our first visit to Bald Head Island. For the prior three years we had been searching up and down the east coast for the perfect location to build a vacation home.

Moments after boarding what was known at the time as the Indigo Plantation passenger ferry, we looked at one another and exclaimed, “This is it!” (We hadn’t even made it to the island yet.)

By the end of our vacation we had purchased a lot to build our dream home.

For several years prior to building we rented several vacation homes on the island. After completing our home we contracted with local property management company to manage our vacation rentals.

Being business owners and entrepreneurs, we carefully evaluated the current vacation rental market on the island. We contemplated what, if anything was missing or what could be improved upon, to better accommodate both homeowners and guests.

We decided homeowners were in need of a, “Hands on,” approach to managing their properties. Guests, on the other hand, were in need of a, “luxurious,” approach within their vacation homes, as well as a myriad of additional services made available to them for the duration of their stay.

BHI Turtle Time Vacations is designed to accomplish all these things and more.

Our Concierge collection of vacation homes will offer vacation properties with luxurious accommodations, an extensive and ever-growing menu of additional services offered during the guest’s stay and our homeowner’s can rest assured our family run team will attend to the needs of their guests and make them feel like family during their stay.
